-Dwight McCarthy
-Sin City/comic book
-Dwight enters Hotel California at a point sometime after The Hard Goodbye
-Dwight has semi-long, floppy hair, often parted down the center and left to hang loose. He has a square jaw and a flat nose with a slightly turned-up appearence, and eyes that seem sunken under a heavy, protective brow. When he smiles, which is rarely, prominent dimples show. He's handsome, but at the same time has a somewhat odd look to him, possibly due to the reconstructive surgery he's undergone in the past.
-Dwight has always had close ties to the prostitute community of Sin City. His current chapter of life started out among them, until he decided to stop doing all the things that were ruining his life, fighting, drinking, thrill seeking, and attempted to sort himself out.
When an ex-girlfriend came back into his life he was eventually tricked into murdering her husband, and after a near-fatal gunfight fled back to the prostitutes for help. They tended his wounds and reconstructed his face to avoid police detection, and he'd been with them ever since.
-Dwight can be described best of all as loyal. He sticks by his friends through any sign of trouble, and will go to great lengths to help them out. This often means doing things he would normally be against doing, as he's also a man of strong moral character, but when his morals come up against his loyalty to his friends, the loyalty always wins out. When he wants to be, he can be charming, charismatic, and manipulative, although this often leads to a lot of guilt. Dwight is seen as very clever, and he quietly observes the world from an emotionless, calculating perspective. Often he's percieved as cold or robotic by others, but most of this image is a deliberate effort on Dwight's part to conceal what he calls The Beast; that is, the part of him that wants to fight, drink, and thrill-seek until he winds up dead or in jail or both. Having chosen the less destructive path, Dwight fights his inner beast, and this struggle can be apparent in times of stress, as he starts to loose his grip on reality.
-Dwight contains: his pistol, pack of cigarettes, a lighter, keys to his red 1950's cadillac
-Dwight McCarthy belongs to Frank Miller, author of Sin City, and not me. I am borrowing this character for my non-profit purposes!
